about
Michael Coleman recorded the first reel in 1921.
The second tune is popular around Sligo. However this version was recorded by Sean Maguire under the title The Boys of Twenty-Five. It was published in a book called “Irish Tunes by the 100” which was a limited 1975 publication by Maguire and Josephine Keegan. He cites the source of the tune as his father Jack Maguire.

Hello Aidan, I purchased your new album in April and have enjoyed playing the download. When the it arrived in the post there was no physical CD inside the case. I have been promised a replacement but have still not received anything. I only need the CD - I have the case. Obviously I can create a CD from the download, but that’s not the point. Hope you can help.
Best wishes, Martin D’Arcy
